Early morning you visit magnificent Taj Mahal ( Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays). An enduring symbol of love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, this architectural marvel was commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife. Crafted from white marble, it took 20,000 artisans over 22 years to complete this masterpiece that continues to captivate hearts across the globe.
Post lunch we shall visit majestic Agra Fort, which is made of red sandstone and located on the banks of the Yamuna River. Construction of the fort began in 1566 under Emperor Akbar. Explore the Diwan-I-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), where marble pavilions with floral inlays create a serene atmosphere. It was here that the emperor sat on his gem-studded Peacock Throne to meet foreign ambassadors and rulers of allied kingdoms.
