South India is a southern part of Indian peninsula surrounded by the Vindhya Range in the south and the Narmada and Mahanadi Rivers in the north, encompassing two mountain ranges – the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats. People of South India are the real inhabitants of this subcontinent generally known as Dravidians. The food of South India is entirely different from North India, the people prefer to eat rice, fish, coconut, pickles, spicy curries, Dosa, Idli, Uttapam, biryani.
