The National Art Gallery
National Arts Gallery is an important destination of Chennai. This red sand stone building was raised in 1907 as a classic Indo-Saracenic composition. It was designed by T. Namberumal Chetty and Henry Irwin; both were well-renowned artists. This gallery is dotted with ancient objects such as weapon, costumes, sculptors, motifs, etc, portraying Mughal History. The Museum (Government Museum, Pantheon Rd, Egmore)
Spanning over an area of 16.25 acres of land, the Government Museum of Chennai is a fabulous attraction located in the centre of the city. Comprising 46 galleries, this museum was established in 1857. Further, it was categorized into seven divisions named as Bronze Gallery, Botany Section, Archaeology Section, Art gallery, Zoology Section, Geology Section, Numismatics Section, etc. Designed by excellent Madras artist H. St. Mary's Church
Marvelously created by British, St. Mary's Church is one of the oldest tourist destinations of Chennai marked for housing street walls, castellated walls and a deep well.
