The Mahabodhi (Great Enlightenment) Temple is an important Buddhist stupa in Bodhgaya. It is considered to be the oldest Buddhist and Hindu pilgrimage centre which is worshipped by countless devotees. Architecturally, the 45 meters square ground floor of this temple is certainly worth-exploring, designed in pyramid shape. Also, it has central tower that is 180 feet tall. It is a small village in Bodhgaya that is named after Sujata. She has followed a ritual by offering milk & rice to the Lord Buddha for long time. She was waiting for the day when Buddha lost his patience and breaks the fast.
